Smart Café Hot Cafetiere Mug
The Smart Café Hot Cafetiere Mug is a great way to make real cafetiere coffee (or real tea!) in the outdoors, without the hassle of carrying a separate cafetiere: it combines cafetiere and double-wall insulated mug in one lightweight package!
Making coffee is simple:
- Remove the plunger from the mug by pulling it straight up.
- Add fresh ground coffee to taste into the mug: about a level dessert spoonful, depending on how strong you like your coffee.
- Add hot water (a little off the boil: the taste of fresh coffee is spoilt by boiling water) up to the indicated fill line.
- Stir well, and replace the plunger just on top of the liquid line.
- Leave to brew for around 3 minutes, then slowly press the plunger down completely.
- Add milk (powdered milk is fine) and sugar to taste, stir and voilà: great coffee!
For real tea, simply use tea leaves instead of ground coffee. Because the mug is of double-wall construction, it will keep your coffee (or tea) hotter for longer, and is not too hot to hold (ever given yourself a nasty burn on a titanium mug?). Cleaning the mug and plunger is simple too.
